Unlocking the Microbial Bridge with Jerry Brunetti | Gold from the Vaults | E11 🪱🐄
Hi Everyone,
We have just reached the end of Series 5 of our 'How to do it' video series, and while we prepare the next round of content, I wanted to share some more "Gold from the Vaults" episodes loaded with truly foundational wisdom from our archives.
Sometimes a single soul can have a disproportionately large impact on one’s life and philosophy. When putting together my first book, “Nutrition Rules!”, I travelled the world and sought out the leading lights in biological farming (the old-school name for regenerative agriculture).
There was a standout amongst those luminaries. Jerry Brunetti had a remarkable intellect. However, it was the caring, compassionate, charismatic human, housing this incisive brain, that made him so memorable. I had simply not encountered anyone quite like him before.
His understanding of soil, plant, animal, and human health, and their inextricable interconnections, was remarkable. However, it was the soulful passion of his delivery that had excited crowds billowing out into the forecourt of every venue, during appearances at his beloved Acres USA conferences.
Jerry and I became close friends, and we toured Australia and New Zealand together. One of those tours, called “The Three Up Tour”, also involved author/ farmer/educator, Gary Zimmer. There are still those who recall the life-changing impact of those two-day events involving 14 venues across Australia and NZ.
We all stand on the shoulders of giants, and due credit is not always given to those influencers.
Jerry Brunetti was my mentor, and I remain forever grateful for that inspiration
In this video, his focus is on soil health in relation to animal health. Jerry delves into the wonders of the soil foodweb and the relationship between the health of this underground “livestock” and the four-legged creatures above ground.
Jerry discusses all-important nitrogen dynamics and the importance of the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio. He looks more closely at the wonders of the earthworm, and he concludes part one with lessons from a case study involving the 1000-acre biological showpiece, called Malabar Farms.
I trust you will enjoy another dose of the Master at work
Happy Nutrition Farming to all 🌱
Warm regards,

Sili-Cal (B)™
Bio-activated calcium and silica with boron.
A unique combination of three synergistic cell-strengthening elements: Silica, Calcium and Boron. Sili-Cal (B)™ is an invaluable nutritional inclusion for improving crop resilience and maximising productivity.
The plant cell wall is the physical barrier that helps to avert insect and disease entry. The two elements that toughen that barrier are calcium and silicon, but boron is the third leg of the stool, providing the foundation for crop protection. Boron is a calcium synergist with its own additional resilience functions.
Sili-Cal (B)™ contains luxury levels of these vital cell-strengthening elements in a convenient liquid application with high compatibility with many inputs. Silica and calcium are typically the least user-friendly of all minerals, but in this unique formula, they can be combined with everything.
In addition to its role in cell strengthening and resilience, calcium is also required for fruit and vegetable quality and flavour. Silica, for example, has several other roles, including stem strength and nutrient translocation and, most importantly, according to recent research, a major broad-spectrum immune elicitor.

Nutri-Life BAM™
Multipurpose blend of anaerobic species for soil, compost and plant health.
This breakthrough probiotic blend contains lactic acid bacteria and purple non-sulphur bacteria, plus beneficial yeasts and microbial exudates.
