How to Do It Series - Episode 1 - Culturing Trichoderma

Hi Everyone,

I’m excited to launch a series of videos that demonstrate the practical application of core Nutrition Farming principles.

One of the attendees at my March 5-day course suggested that we were lacking the “How to Do it” videos that have become an integral part of online training. I immediately recognised that this was a missing link that needed to be addressed. In conjunction with two of my agronomy/education team members, Adam Coates and Karl Holland, we decided to make amends.

The first of these “How to do it” videos covers the on-farm production of Trichoderma. This wonderfully productive, beneficial fungus controls multiple diseases via predation and immune elicitation. However, disease control is just the beginning. Trichoderma stimulates root growth. It solubilises locked-up phosphorous and is a voracious cellulose digester to help build all-important organic matter in your soil. Trichoderma is also a great tool for magnifying NPK response.

This is the first of 17 videos that will demonstrate everything from protozoa tea manufacture to seed treatment and making your own compost extract.

I trust you will gain some value from this sharing.

Warm regards,

Graeme Sait
